Silver Birch Awards Program
The Silver Birch Award program for students in grades four to six, will begin February 1st. Students will be encouraged to sign up on their own for the program. Each student registered will be required to read a minimum of five books, in order to be entitled to vote, and be invited to attend the Forest of Reading celebration in May. They will have a choice of ten non-fiction and 10 fiction titles to choose from.

Freeze DNA’s mandate is to Design, Create and Educate!
For the past 10 years Freeze DNA has taught over 900,000 children
across Canada through fun and exciting workshops giving students the opportunity to explore their artistic abilities and help build their self-esteem! The workshops are conducted by professional comic book artists Anthony Stanberry and Jermaine Smith who have published several children’s drawing books and graphic novels. Grade 2 and 3 students will participate in this wonderful workshop and learn how to draw comic characters.
