American Industrial Revolution
How it improved America for the better
The American Industrial Revolution started in Great Britain, and eventually came over here. Machines took the place of many hand tools, while people and horses were replaced with water. The Industrial Revolution first started in the textile industry. The positive effects of the Industrial Revolution outweigh the negative effects.
Inventions
During the Industrial Revolution many inventions were created to help the people. According to the class textbook it says, "They created a new way of working called the factory system. By 1714 British workers were producing 24 times as much thread as they had in 1765.” This invention was used to help people make things quicker.
Production of Goods
The Industrial Revolution improved production of goods and helped people figure out how to repair item easily. In our textbook it states, “ Interchangeable parts soon became used in the manufacture of other products, and manufacturing became more efficient.” Interchangeable parts were easier to put things together than taking it apart, making a new piece, and than putting it back together.
Helped U.S. Economy
During this era the U.S. economy was benefited. Our class textbook states, “ Interchangeable parts soon became used in the manufacture of other products, and manufacturing became more efficient.” With everyone that was buying goods because of the price drop, our economy made a pretty penny.
The Industrial Revolution brought several cons such as; poor factory conditions, child labor, and extreme working hours, but also brought good things such as; inventions, improved the production of goods, and helped the U.S. economy. The American Industrial Revolution made wonderful advancements to America. This is why the pros outweigh the cons.
