A few things you may want to know will be available---
- Progress Monitoring in the CORE Session
- Art Collaboration by ASU
- Language Amplification (student interaction ideas)
I Need You to do the Following:
- After you finish testing, double check rosters to make sure all tests were complete and then send me an email to let me know your class is completed with CBM and R3D.
- I need you to let me know if you are on track in math or how many lessons or days you are behind. Please let me know by Wednesday the 25th. This is not a "caught you" but a way to make sure if we need to collapse any lessons we can talk about it at PLC. I know Engage NY is tough but please stick with it and continue--if we back off--it hurts the students and teachers next year! We have to stay the course!
- Decide on a teacher planning day. See Feb calendar.

7 Minute Challenge
We are NOT AS A SCHOOL utilizing Reading Counts effectively which is to motivate students to read independently. We had 42 students in our school 1st through 5th grade who have not earned one point or taken one test since the beginning of this nine weeks (most of them all year). This means they are NOT reading! I know we cannot go home with our students BUT if we do not get our students to read--they will not improve at all.
If we have students put an appropriate book on the side of their desk throughout the day, We can at least have students read when they finish assignments, during interruptions, or even if you answer the phone or someone gets sick and instructions stops. We cannot allow our students to NOT read.
