Westbrook *Yearbook* Cover Contest For Students
All Westbrook students are invited to use their imaginations and creativity to create their idea for a yearbook cover! One person's work will be featured on the cover, but we will include all submissions in the yearbook so everyone's work can be shared!
Who can participate: all Westbrook Students!
Due Date: 4/18

Glen Grove *Yearbook* Cover Contest For Students

Current 3rd and 4th grade students! You are invited to submit artwork that could become the cover of next year's Glen Grove assignment notebook! Click here to view more details as well as translation to Spanish, Mongolian, and Korean.

Westbrook *Yearbooks* On Sale NOW!
You can add two *free* custom pages at the beginning of your yearbook! It's a great place for sports, birthday, and vacation photos from this year!
Early childhood and K-2 will be featured in the yearbook, including classroom and staff photos and many photos from throughout the school year!
Order by 4/29 to receive free delivery to the school!

D34 School Board Election Happening NOW!
There are four seats up for election on the D34 school board -- please familiarize yourself with the candidates and vote today!

CONTINUED: Westbrook Collection
Nurse Briones at Westbrook is collecting clean sweatpants, joggers, and leggings in all PreK-2nd grade sizes. If you have freshly laundered items to donate please drop them off in the Westbrook office or send them in with your student in a bag marked with Nurse Briones's name.
Thanks to these donations, any students who come to the office needing a change of clothes will be able to get them ASAP. Thank you!

Parent Presentation: Rebalancing Tech With Devorah Heitner
Next Monday 4/11! All D34 Parents Invited!
Program Description: We’ve all become one with our devices. This talk for parents informs audiences about the latest research on kids growing up and helps them to appropriately support young people as they encounter and master these digital/social skills.
Devorah Heitner, PhD, an expert on young people’s relationships with digital media and technology and author of Screenwise, explains the importance of “mentoring over monitoring” when it comes to kids’ tech use and gives advice on how to encourage a healthy relationship with media and technology. Her forthcoming book, Growing Up in Public, is a guide to navigating reputation, privacy, and boundaries with our kids who are growing up in a world where it feels like everyone is watching.
The PTAs will be providing snacks for this event!

March & April Room Rep Activity Schedule
Glen Grove Game Night! Can You Host A Game?
Glen Grove Community Project is inviting families who are interested in hosting a game to please sign up! Maybe it's your favorite board game, or, a cultural game you'd like to share with others.
A PTA-sponsored Literati Book Fair will also be open during Game Night. Families will be coming to play games and buy books. What a fun night!

Become A D34 Sub
District 34 is faced with a shortage of substitute teachers. If you have ANY amount of time, please consider joining the D34 team as a substitute teacher. We are seeking caring adults from a range of backgrounds, skills and interests. Get valuable experience, set your own hours, and make a difference in the lives of D34 students!
Become A D34 Associate
Associates (also known as paraprofessionals or teacher's aides) play an essential role within our school district. An associate can tutor students or assist the teacher with managing the classroom and organizing instructional materials.
Join the D34 Volunteer Pool
D34 is looking to build connections and community partnerships that increase opportunities for our students to experience authentic learning. We are asking parents, grandparents and other community members to share their experience and expertise in our classrooms.
