"Pep Band" Sign Up
Please review the email sent earlier this week involving AWAY games. Due to Covid 19 safety precautions, many districts are not allowing visiting bands and spirit groups to attend. To date, the Boswell and Trinity games will not be attended by the Panther Band.
Currently, the Richland game will be attended by a small Panther “Pep Band''. Please fill out the application below if you are interested in attending. Due to space limitations, not everyone that applies will be able to attend. Keep that in mind when filling out the application!
Remember, all students will still perform the S P I R I T show at HOME games.
These are interesting times, and we are glad to be performing whenever, wherever, and however we can!
Cold Weather...Looking Ahead...
Our current football schedule goes well into the month of December. To stay uniform during these performances, the following items need to be secured:
Solid, Classic, Blue Jeans (Free of Holes, etc.)
CHHS Panther Band “Member Jacket” OR CHHS “Letter Jacket”
Be on the lookout for “Member Jacket” order information from our Boosters ASAP. Upperclassmen, many of you should already have one or both of these jackets.
Other cold weather items including hats, layering, etc. will be discussed later.
One of our goals as a program is to foster a standard of academic excellence. Your success in the classroom leads to success in the band hall. As a reminder, the school’s first grade check is TODAY - Friday, September 25th. Make sure you are turning in your homework and passing all of your classes! We want everyone to be eligible!
Who remembers last year's COLD games in November? (GHS: 50s and raining, Crowley: 40s and windy, Abilene game vs Amarillo: just plain frigid!) The 2020 regular season is scheduled to extend into December and playoffs are a certainty with our awesome Panthers!
Your band student will need a jacket and will only be permitted a CHHS letter jacket or official band jacket in the stands. Order your student's stand-approved jacket and apply payments you've already made for marching accessories to the purchase. Many students will owe nothing additional.
Order here and see details about payments. Orders due 9/29!
Saturday - Show Shirts
Our show shirts will be in before the weekend and we need a small team to help sort them so that we can distribute them ASAP! Masks are required. Also, if you have plastic grocery bags at home to spare, please bring some.
When: Saturday (9/26), 12:45pm-2:45pm
Where: Band Hall

Many thanks to our new JV/Freshman Concessions manager Beth Mitchell!
We are so thrilled that we will be selling concessions at these Thursday night games at CHHS. If you ever worked concessions at one of the middle schools, this is exactly the same. Also, it's an easy way to get your volunteer opportunity done for the week before the weekend even begins!
We would love to have another manager to share duties with Beth. If you are interested, email or call Amy Rork (email@example.com or 817-228-1493) anytime.
If you can't help manage, definitely sign up for a shift to help out.

Support BOA and Music For All
The CHHS Band had plans to attend multiple Bands of America Regionals this marching season. Covid 19 caused the cancellation of the entire BOA marching season.
BOA and Music for All is a wonderful non profit organization that provides life changing opportunities to our student performers.
They are offering Fall 2020 “Contest” apparel for sale. We were planning to compete there - so why not check out the merchandise and consider supporting them!?
