Message from the Principal
Good Afternoon CHES families,
Thank you so much for all of your support with our 12 Days Until Winter Break surprises for CHES staff! They will be so excited to be celebrated this week and we could not have been able to do the fun activities without all of your help and generosity!! We greatly appreciate YOU, our CHES families!!!
Our second grade program, The Reindeer Games, was a huge success. Mrs. Harris, the resource team, second grade teachers, our second graders, and all of the volunteers did a wonderful job!! The performances truly helped to get everyone in the holiday spirit! THANK YOU TO ALL who helped out to make this a phenomenal experience!
Please remember that school is closed from December 19th through January 2nd. The office will also be closed during this time. We welcome everyone back January 3, 2023!
There will be no Parent Snapshots over winter break. Our first Parent Snapshot for 2023 will come out on January 1st!

HERE is our calendar for holiday dress up for next week. We would love for students to join staff as we dress up!
๐ท A photographer from Strawbridge Studios will be at CHES on December 12th to photograph your Fall Retake or make up pictures.
Photo retakes-This link will allow parents to sign up to receive updates via email regarding their child's school portraits. These updates include promotions, additional deals and the ability to order more pictures at a later time. When entering student information, parents should be sure to enter the student's name as it is on file at the school.
There is no charge or need to repurchase a package if they are getting a retake.

Reminders ๐
Please send in a written note when making transportation changes. It is a reminder for the teachers to have the note.
- If you need to pick up your student early from school, we ask that you please plan on coming no later than 1:45 and to please keep end of day office dismissals to urgent matters.
- If you would like to have lunch with your child, we ask that you please sign up for a lunch slot on the sign up genius. If there are no slots available, please choose a different date where there is availability. We have added more slots to the SignUpGenius. Feel free to share the Sign up Genius with any grandparents that would like to visit as well. They too need to sign up for a lunch time slot and they may be unaware. Please note: there is a maximum of 2 visitors per child. Please only use ONE sign up slot per child. You will be asked how many visitors will be joining. If you make a mistake with your sign up, please email Mrs. Holt (amanda_holt@ccpsnet.net) so she can update the sign-up sheet.

The Elf Shop is Here! Dec. 14, 15, & 16
CHES students may visit the Elf Shop during school hours to purchase holiday gifts. There are two ways to shop:
- Send cash on their designated shopping day, as communicated by your child's teacher; or,
- Load their eWallet for shop credit by Tues., Dec. 13, at 11:59 p.m.
Come out to Holiday House, Dec. 15
Holiday House is Thurs., Dec. 15, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at CHES. Enjoy evening Elf Shop hours, our Build-a-Clover Cow activity, and hot cocoa! If you pre-ordered a Clover Cow and are not able to pick up your order at Holiday House, complete this form to have your cow sent home with your child. Add to Calendar
Enjoy Chuy's on Dec. 15 to Support CHES PTA!

Information for Rising 6th Graders 6๏ธโฃ
If you have a rising 6th grader attending Tomahawk Creek Middle School next year, please click this flyer for information. Thursday, May 3rd there will be an opportunity for your child to walk through Tomahawk Creek Middle School. More information to come!
Chromebook Updates! ๐ป
Lost, damaged or stolen chromebooks will have a charge of up to $200. Accidental damages to a chromebook will still be swapped out at no charge.
Chargers
You can purchase a lost charger from Amazon (Lenovo 100e Charger). It is HIGHLY recommended that all students put their names on their chargers with masking tape to avoid losing a charger amongst the class. If the charger is not working, it will be replaced by the school at no cost.
Transportation ๐ ๐ถ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐ด๐ฟโโ๏ธ ๐
๐ข IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REMINDERS:
- If you are dropping your student off in the mornings, please know that 2 orange cones will be placed in the driveway around 7:42 or 7:43 when there is a break in traffic so that we can get students to class by 7:45 when the tardy bell rings. We ask that you DO NOT drive through the cones for the safety of your child and others. If the cones are up, please drive around the front loop and park. You must walk your child into the building to receive a tardy slip. We also ask that you remain in your vehicle to allow for the line to continue to run smoothly.
- If you pick your child up in the afternoons in the car rider line, please remain in your vehicle. Staff or safety patrols will help your child into the vehicle. If you need to buckle your child, please pull forward so we can continue loading cars safely and efficiently.
