Adding and Subtracting Fractions
Step 1: First find the common denominator of the fractions
Step 2: Multiply the numbers that are in the common denominator to be the same
Step 3: Add or Subtract the numerator and the denominator to get the proper or improper answer
Step 4:Simplify the proper fraction until it can't be simplified anymore
Step 5: : Make sure your answer is in its simplest form
Step 6:You can add to see if you got your answer correct in subtraction
Multiplying and Dividing Fractions
Explanation: Multiplying Fractions
Step 1: First simplify in the begining if you can
Step 2: Multiply the fractions to get your answer
Step 3: If you simplified in the beginning just multiply it
Step 4: Divide the answer to get your answer [divide even more if it can be simplified more]
Step 5: Make sure your answer is in its simplest form
Steps for dividing fractions:
Step 1: Write the promblem to solve it
Step 2: When dividing fractions you need to remeber these key words:keep, change, flip
Step 3: First keep the first fraction
Step 4: Second change the divison sign into a multipulcation
Step 5: Third flip the second fraction
Step 6: Finally multiply the numbers and then divide to get your answer
Step 7: Make sure your answer is in the simpliest form
Multiplying decimals
Step1:Write the numbers of the problem down.
Step2:When you write the numbers down you don't have to put the decimal exactly with the other number
Step3:After you put the decimal [that does not have to be in the same place]down for each number multiply normally
Step4:After you multiply the numbers, then count the decimal spaces in the numbers in each problem
Step5:After finding how many decimal places they are add up the total of the decimals
Step6:After finding the total of decimals in the problem then count the decimal spaces from the ones place until the decimal stops
Dividing decimals
Steps
Step1:First write the problem down
Step2:Then move the decimal point to the right
Step3:After moving the decimal to the right, then divide the problem
Step4:Make sure that you divide correctly
Step5:Finally when you get your answer you can check your answer by creating a multiplication problem
Adding and Subtracting Decimals
Step 1: First write the problem down
Step 2: Then put the decimal exactly with the other number with the decimal
Step 3: Make sure you put the decimal in the correct spot because if you don't put it in the answer will be wrong
Step 4:After putting the decimal in the correct place then start to add the numbers up to get your answer to the problem
Step 5:After you found your answer to the problem, then bring the decimal down to the answer
Subtracting Steps
Step 1:First write the problem down
Step 2: Then put the decimal exactly with the other number with the decimal
Step 3: Make sure you put the decimal in the correct spot because if you don't put it in the answer will be wrong
Step 4:After putting the decimal in the correct place then start to subtract the numbers up to get your answer to the problem
Step 5:After you found your answer to the problem, then bring the decimal down to the answer
