WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE CLASSROOM??
- Homework: Students brought home their orange weekly take home folders on Friday. We won't start homework until next week, so please take out the fliers inside and return the folder no later than Friday!
- Innovation: Students will be participating in innovation rotations where they will go to other third grade classrooms and each teacher will focus on a specific topic. Some of the topics include: Growth Mindset and How to use Google Docs.
- Language Arts -We will begin to go over routines and procedures for reading and writing. Students will understand what is expected during reading rotations.
- Math -We will begin our first math unit. We will focus on different strategies to solve three digit addition and subtraction problems.
- Writing -We will be focusing on what makes a good sentence? Then we will move to what's in a paragraph. We are setting the basics for a successful year of writing!
- 7 Habits - Habit 1: Be Proactive. I encourage you to have discussions at home with your child on how they are being proactive at school and at home. :)
