TESTING DOCUMENTS AND INFO
Hello Fox Tech Families,
On Wednesday, October 14, Fox Tech 10th, 11th, and select 12th graders will be taking either the PSAT or SAT.
12th Grade SAT and 11th Grade PSAT
Due to our wonderful partnership with San Antonio College (SAC), the seniors taking the SAT and the 11th graders taking the PSAT will be held at SAC. In addition, all 10th graders will take the PSAT on October 14th here at Fox Tech. Please remember that not all 12th graders are taking the SAT. If your child was scheduled to take the ACT this past Tuesday, they do not take the SAT.
All 11th and 12th graders completed a transportation survey to indicate if they would be taking the bus from Fox Tech to San Antonio College or if they would be providing their own transportation. Attached is the list of 11th and 12th graders with their transportation choice.
Students Providing Their Own Transportation
If your child elected to provide their own transportation to SAC, please be aware that they will need to be both dropped off AND picked up there. They will be responsible for their own breakfast, but lunch will be provided. A map of SAC is attached. Drop off and pick up will be located in Lot 16 off of Loop Road in the same area where buses will drop off. There will be greeters there to guide your student to the gymnasium where they will test. Students must be in their testing rooms by 8:45am to test. There will be no late admittance to the test.
Pick up will be between 2:30-3:00 in the location. You MUST provide a photo ID and be on the approved pick up list.
Students Taking the Bus From Fox Tech
Students who elected to take the bus from Fox Tech can eat breakfast from 7:15-8:15 in the cafeteria and then board the bus at 8:20am for an on time departure to SAC. Students will arrive back on campus no later than 3:00. At that time, students can be picked up at Fox Tech after being checked out in the main office.
PSAT 10th Grade
For all 10th graders testing on campus, breakfast will be from 7:15-8:15 in the cafeteria and students will report to their testing rooms at 8:30am.
Any 10th grader who is testing may also be picked up after testing concludes at 2:30pm.
9th Graders and Seniors Not Taking the SAT
ALL 9th graders and any senior who took the ACT will remain at home on October 14th and their learning will be asynchronous.
Rest assured, all social distancing and health guidelines will be followed on these testing days both at Fox Tech and at San Antonio College. Students must wear a mask at all times. They may bring snacks and water for breaks.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Kate Nelson, Testing Coordinator, knelson1@saisd.net or 210-728-9730.
