Principal's Message
Hello Summit View INC families,
I would be reminisce if I didn't start off this note with a sincere thank you to everyone who donated ideas, time, and money to our annual Walk-a-thon! A special thank you to our parent coordinators Mrs. Rees and Mrs. Hampe for the detailed organization of this fundraiser! Are you interested in sharing your ideas and making them come to life? Consider joining us at a PTO meeting! Check the calendar for our next meeting and upcoming events!
Besides gratitude, November is known for gatherings with family and friends, enjoying traditions, and the anticipation of a new year. November is also National Family Literacy Month and National Picture Book Month! To celebrate, we want to know what your favorite book is at home. Email a picture of the book with your family, family pet, stuffed animal, or whomever to gsheskey@waukesha.k12.wi.us and/or post to our Facebook page. We will use shared photos in an art display in the library!
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at Parent-Teacher Conferences November 7th and 8th. While this is a great opportunity set aside to connect about your child, please remember that support is strongest when our communication between home and school is consistent. We share the belief with you that your student will succeed! Your child's teacher can share ideas that will support the problem solving, comprehension, and other academic strategies at home any time you ask. Together we can learn from each other!
Thank you for your continued partnership with us!

SCHOOL REGISTRATION FEES
If you have not paid your registration fee of $85.00 yet this year, please do so as soon as possible. Fees are now overdue. You are allowed to make installment payments monthly if needed. You can send cash or make your check payable to School District of Waukesha, and send it in an envelope marked “Registration fees” with your child’s name and student ID #. You may write one check for multiple children, just indicate how much for each child. You can also pay fees online in Infinite campus, after logging in, the directions are the same as adding lunch money. **Please keep in mind, fees owed will prevent a student from walking at graduation or being able to purchase iPads when they get refreshed.
Attendance
If your child will be absent for the entire day, arriving late, or leaving early, please use the Safe Arrival App or call the Safe Arrival line at 1-866-490-7371 by 9:00 am. Please avoid school hour appointments if at all possible. Please bring a medical note back from any appointments, they will be marked medically excused.
Pre-planned absences (3 or more days) require a form to be completed prior to and well in advance of the absence.
