KSE FAMILY STEM NIGHT PLANNING
Good afternoon, everyone!
The KSE Math and Science Committees are planning our next KSE Family Night: a Family STEM Night! This event will feature a winter theme (start thinking about "winterizing" your hallway decorations), and some of the stations include:
Snowball Launcher, Holiday Band, Ice Castles, Lighting the Tree, and a Snow Scoop!
Several teachers have signed up to lead short (10-minute) experiments/activities in Math, Science, Technology, and Engineering. Mr. Kadle and some JHS students will be here to demonstrate chemistry, robotics, and physics concepts. AMSTI Specialists are helping us and hosting some stations. We hope to have some JSU departments/groups represented as well!
PTO is getting involved by offering popcorn and hot chocolate.
You can see that this event is shaping up to be as grand as our Enchanted Evening of Reading!! If you are not already involved and would like to be a part of this community-building project, please let me know.
Dr. Laymon Hicks -at JHS on November 1, 2018 "Get up, get out, and go get it!"
Dr. Laymon Hicks spoke to our students on Thursday, November 1st. He is a phenomenal speaker and author who shared his personal story and encouraged our students to "Get up, get out, and go get it!" He travels across the nation, and we are so blessed to have him spend the day with our students!
