Note from the Director
That was some crazy Michigan weather we had this week! If you are tired of muddy, wet clothes, we still have Oaki rainsuits available. These suits go over your child's coat or pants. The cost is $30.50. Kids can't help it...they are mud magnets!
Renee Vaughn, our District Registrar, is at ECEC all month to answer your kindergarten screening questions. Please note if you plan to attend OPS next year, you will need to register but not sign up for a screening time. We will provide the screening during school time in the month of April.
For March is Reading Month we have some creative dress up days for kids that go along with great Dr. Suess books!

Cutting with Scissors
On May 5th, Otsego voters have another great opportunity to Propel Otsego Forward in a number of ways. Voters will be asked to consider a Bond Proposal that will NOT raise the tax level, but will provide incredible upgrades and opportunities for our facilities, students, and entire community. Every OPS building is slated for improvement and many upgrades will lead to financial savings in the future, whether it’s through energy efficiencies or lower maintenance costs.
The proposal will raise $22.9 million dollars, but, again, will not change our current tax levels. Along with facility improvements, the plan includes a new aquatic facility built at the high school. This will increase opportunities for our community, benefit ALL of our swimmers in our various pool programs, and be a draw for local and regional competitions. This new location would also create fitness center possibilities with our existing workout facilities.
The current pool location would be transformed into a multi-purpose space for additional athletic courts, STEM and robotics programming, and more.
