6th Grade Literacy Lab- October
Standard: NCSCOS:W 6.2
Station 1: Teacher Led
- Teacher will talk about what makes a good paragraph(ex. number of sentences, title sentence, closing sentence). Students will give their opinions on what they think.
- Teacher will use the Cut ānā Paste Scrambled Paragraph Answer sheet to give example of what sentences should be in paragraph.
- Teacher will distribute the scrambled paragraph sentences and answer sheet to each student. The directions are on each plastic bag(Sort the strips so they form a logical, organized nuts and bolts paragraph. Place each part of the paragraph into the correct location on the answer sheet)
- Students will work on placing each strip in the correct spot. When they finish, please go over their answers.

Station 2: Media Specialist Led
- We will work on a SMART Lesson talking about making transitions. Can rewrite sentences and add different transition words. Will add & delete different transition words. Will rewrite paragraphs as well.

Station 3: Student Led
- Students will work on a blendspace lesson on punctuation, subject, predicate, parts of speech, and building sentences. These are all online activities.
