Sight Words We Know: I, the, can, we, see, a, like, to, too, and, go
This week we discussed sequence words such as first, next, then and last. The kids are slowly learning to recognize beginning, middle, and ending sounds of CVC words as well as whether they hear a long or short vowel sound in a word. Our focus skill for the week was visualizing. Practice visualizing as you read together at home this weekend!
Thank you so much for reading and returning take home readers every week. I don't think I have ever had a class return so many each week before!
Math
This week was all about learning to correctly form numbers 0-5. Next week we will talk about ordinal numbers (1st-5th) and forming numbers 6-10. You can find a fun song we use to help us form our numbers here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liKBXp5kdL8
Free-painting during play time!
