--- Health & Safety Updates ---
Low Risk Letter
Dear Steeple Run Families,
Naperville 203 has been closely monitoring the health and safety of our students and staff. We have been notified that an individual in the Steeple Run community has a confirmed/probable case of COVID-19. Please understand that we cannot disclose the name of the person confirmed/probable case of COVID-19.
Parents/guardians of students who have been identified as close contacts have already been notified. If you have not been contacted, your student is not a close contact in this case. However, Steeple Run is sending weekly emails to its school community when there is a positive case to inform families that students have had a potential exposure to the virus. This is considered a low-risk exposure.
In light of the low-risk exposure to a confirmed/probable COVID-19 case, we ask that you monitor your student closely for symptoms. If your student develops symptoms:
Consult with your health care provider for the next steps (testing and isolation)
Self-isolate and practice social distancing by avoiding public places
Notify your school’s health office
Keep other siblings/household members home from school/activities, the health office can provide guidance.
As a reminder, always keep your student at home if they are ill for any reason. The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are a fever, new onset of cough, shortness of breath, chills, fatigue, muscle aches, new onset of a moderate/severe headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, vomiting and/or diarrhea. Symptoms usually develop between 2 to 14 days after the last exposure.
If you have any questions, please contact, Francine McCabe (FMcCabe@Naperville203.org). Thank you for your understanding and ongoing cooperation with our COVID-19 prevention policies and procedures as we work together to keep our students, staff, and families safe and healthy.
International Travel
Those who traveled internationally during Winter Break should follow the International Travel Guidelines listed on the Naperville 203 website.
