ANNOUNCEMENTS

CONGRATULATIONS to the Clark Band on earning straight 1's and a Sweepstakes at Region UIL Marching Contest on Saturday!! THANK YOU for everyone's diligence this season to follow procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of each student, family and staff!!


  • We will continue to post Weekly Covid Self-Screenings as students will be coming to campus to do region recordings and for our upcoming clinic with Mr. Benzer and our Winter Concert recording sesson...NEW Covid form for this week below


Please read through Upcoming Events, including our clinic with Mr. Benzer on Monday, November 30th for Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band students and our Winter Concert rehearsal/recording session that will be Saturday, December 12 (this was the date of the Plano Holiday Parade which has been cancelled).


School owned instrument user fees should be paid via Ryco. Less than half of our students who use a school owned instrument has paid this fee. See information below for link and the form that I must have completed, signed and scanned/emailed back to me. This is for any student using school owned instruments (Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Tenor/Bari Sax, Horn, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and Percussion). If a student uses a school owned marching and concert instrument the fee is still only 85.00/year.

This is an asynchronous day for all students. Required attendance for all Face2Face students. Students who are school@home as their learning choice are more than welcome to attend this clinic. We will be properly distanced and may use the gym for a larger rehearsal space if needed to accommodate for school@home students to participate.

Winter Concert Rehearsal / Recording Sesson

Saturday, Dec. 12th, 9am-3pm

CHS Gym

Each band will have a 1 hour rehearsal to combine co-horts and percussion in addition to recording so that we combine the videos into our virtual Winter Concert.


9:00 am - 10:00 am - Varsity Band

10:30 am - 11:30 am - Concert Band

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Symphonic Band

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm - Wind Ensemble


Students must submit a Covid Self-Screening prior to arriving on campus that day and temperatures will be checked. Students should be dropped off and picked up from the back of the school near the gym.


School@Home students are more than welcome to participate if they and their parents feel comfortable. All wind students will be using a bell cover/bag for their instruments. Students will be adequately spaced at least 10 ft apart.


Only students for that particular band and the directors will be permitted on campus and in the gym.
