What we've been up to.
- We welcomed Jeremiah the bullfrog to our classroom. And, yes, he was a good friend of mine. Which was a popular song when I was *cough* in kindergarten. Please don't google it. Jeremiah is very quiet, he enjoys swimming, and he eats gigantic crickets. That your teacher feeds him. I love my job. I love my job. I love my job.
- We learned the word oviparous and made lists of animals that hatch from eggs and animals that do not hatch from eggs (viviparous).
- We (finally) finished our nonfiction books by adding real photographs to support our research. Everyone did a google image search on their topic.
- Our plants are growing. We updated our plant journals to show that they now have long stems, white roots, and large leaves.
- We each wrote and illustrated a book about what plants need to grow.
- We have started to prepare songs for our group to sing at the talent show. The individual talents are up to you to prepare at home!
Thank you Mystery Readers!

After our discussion about what plants need to grow (water, soil, light) I asked,
Mrs. Cohen: If you eat a green bean will the seeds grow in your belly?
Students: NO!
Mrs. Cohen: Why not?
Student 1: Because I don't eat green beans.
