WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH - MARCH
BLACK HISTORY MONTH - FEBRUARY
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. The month of February was selected to coincide with the birthdays of both President Abraham Lincoln (February 12) and abolitionist Frederick Douglass (February 14). What started as Black History Week grew in popularity over the next 50 years and was expanded to include the whole month.
COLLEGE NIGHT 2022 - 04.04.2022 6PM - 8PM
All Sophomores and Juniors (parents too) are invited to the 2022 College Night in the BHS main Gym on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 6PM - 8PM.
This IACAC (Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling) local college fair will provide you with the opportunity to meet and talk with admission representatives from many in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities. Come ask questions and get answers from the experts! Students should register now at www.strivefair.com. You will get a barcode to show to colleges who will scan it to send you additional information about their schools. It is free and saves time that you can spend talking to more schools. Click here for a list of schools attending College Night!
