Desertification
Desertification basics
Did you know desertification is most common in the Sahara? Desertification is the process in which land becomes dry, almost desert like. Watch the video to learn more.
Desertification [English]
Causes
Overgrazing is a cause of desertification. The animals eat too much in one area then it's all gone with no food to spare.
Once land doesn't get enough precipitation it becomes dry and this is called drought.
Wildfires, by abiotic and biotic factors are a cause too. The fires burn out all the land making it hard to grow back.
Effects
Soli becomes less usable as it becomes blown away making vegetation damaged
Food loss which also leads to famine
In conclusion
In conclusion, desertification is caused by biotic and abiotic factors. It causes soil to erode, vegetation to be damaged, and food loss because the land can no longer support life.

What we can do
How to help
With my organization, it won't stop desertification but certainly help. We will send out conservation groups to help them make fresh clean water pipes, and educate them on how to take care of them
