Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent teacher conferences are coming up fast! Please put them on your schedule now! We will have them September 14th , 15th , and 16th .This is a wonderful time to discuss where your child is academically and socially. This will help us both prepare them for the rest of the year and most importantly Middle School! A parent teacher conference scheduling form went out last week. Please choose 3 options that will work with your schedule and send this back as soon as possible. The first forms back will get their preferences of times. Please designate your choices by putting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd on your preference. I will send a note home with your final time slot. If any of the dates and times do not work with your schedule please give me some that will and we will work something out. Thank you!

Moon Calendar

We are very excited to be taking on a new science endeavor! Over the month of September, your child will be participating in a Moon Phases science lab. Your students teacher will be guiding your children through a project in which they will learn basics of moon phases and the impact it has on Earth. throughout the duration of this project, your child will be challenged with the task of answering thought provoking questions that analyze how the phases of the moon impact the Earth. Students will also be provided with websites, games, and additional resources in order to fully understand the importance of the moon. To begin, your child will keep a nightly moon journal in which they draw the moon they see or take a picture of it.
