The Principal's Desk At Sycamore ES
May 1, 2016
May is here! What a great week we had with our wonderful students. I am excited about how hard they worked on the Georgia Milestones Assessment. You should be very proud too of their efforts! We should receive their results within 2-3 weeks. At that time, we will notify you if there is a need for additional support over the summer.
The month of May will be extremely busy with celebrations, parties, and events. Please make sure that you look at our calendar online periodically and consult with your child's teacher about events that you may want to attend.
Lost and Found Area
We were able to send over 160 items that were lost and left behind to Ecuador! We were saddened that our students lost items, yet overjoyed that those in Equador could benefit from these items. Since Friday, we already gained 3 items back to our lost and found area. Please make sure that you write your child's name in their items and check that they have all of their belongings when they get home each day.
Kindergarten Registration- This Thursday, May 5th 1-5
Parents, please register on-line for your upcoming kindergartner in advance, so that you can get a FAST PASS to get through registration quicker. Please bring your child with you so that we can assess them to see all that they know on Thursday. We promise to make it fun and enjoyable! This new Kindergarten Readiness Entry Profile system will provide us with a lot of information to help us in teaching your child in the best way next year.
If your kindergartner is coming next year to Sycamore please go ahead and begin registering at the link below:
