Principal's Message
Dear Sabre Families,
Here we go, the return of our students to the classroom! While we are excited to see our students again, we do understand that there are some that are anxious to return with the current number of high Covid cases in Alberta. We encourage these students and families to connect with the SAL Administration or Guidance Department if you have questions or need strategies for a successful completion of Quarter 2.
Quarter 3:
Quarter 3 begins on Monday, February 1, 2021. If your child is a current out-of-school learner and would like to remain out-of-school or switch to in-school learning for Quarter 3, there is an intention form that must be completed on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. This form is due Monday, January 18. If your child is currently in-school learning and would like to go online for Quarter 3, please notify the General Office at SAL. If your child with continue with in-school learning, no action is required on your part.
As a reminder, please follow the Covid 19 health checklist before your student attends classes.
In closing, this past week was difficult for many in seeing the events south of the border. We are all hoping for a return to better times and more kindness in our world.
Closer to home and in our SAL community, we are proud of our students and extended school community who are good people and members of society that stand for respect, compassion, tolerance, decency and understanding. This is the tradition at SAL and we will continue to be mindful and intentional in the way we treat each other and the work we do for years to come.
Have a good week everyone and please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.
