Paws To Read

What Is Reading to Me?

To me, it's like living in another world, where anything can happen, and something that was one way can go the other instantly. That's why I chose this quote, because how I know I am reading a book I enjoy, is when I'm swept away to the land of the story. Books calm me down, cheer me up and put me through a series of emotions, sometimes without myself even noticing!

About Me

The earliest memory of reading that I have fresh in my mind was when I was around the age of 2 or 3. It was winter and my family and I had nothing to do, so my mom suggested she do a "read aloud". She read a book about two children making a cake and meeting a monster who wanted it for himself. Of course, it was a picture book for kids, but I remember liking it very much. Now, I can't remember a time where I don't have a book with me to read in my free time! At the time, I am in middle school, and it's a little tough getting used to. Even though the school is a large maze and things can get a little confusing, I can always trust the library to be a familiar home to me.

10 Things About Me as a Reader!

1.) I prefer longer books, short ones tend to have less details or a short story.

2.) I, for one, like action/adventure books that are set in an earlier time.

3.) I can't stand reading books about school or romance.

4.) I prefer a main character who knows what he/she is doing, or is powerful/becomes powerful.

5.) Once I get into a book, it is really hard to get me off of it.

6.) Instead of using a bookmark, I keep my book upside down and open to the page I left off of.

7.) It doesn't matter to me if the main character of a book is a girl or a guy.

8.) I read my books at school only, I don't have much time at home.

9.) I'm a fast reader, so I tend to need books more often.

10.) Reading is something I do very often because I love it so much!

My Latest Blog Entry. . . What Am I Reading Now

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

After she has served a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, Crown Prince Dorian offers eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien her freedom on the condition that she act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin

I really enjoy this book series because of the mystery and the sudden plot twists you may have never seen coming. Also to get to know all the characters, who all play a major role and have their own stories to tell. I recommend this book to anybody who wants an exciting, action packed adventure book with mystery that will keep you reading.

Book Recommendation Site

Here are some good sites to find books that you may want to read or discover new books that might interest you! - I would recommend you to check this site out if you want a new book. It finds books depending on what your mood is. For example, if you were in a happy mood, you would go to the side and press happy/sad. Then you would move the arrow to happy or very happy and press go. The page will change to happy books that fit your mood exactly!
