Good Afternoon!

Something that I have been working on with people is the idea of three 1's and a 5. It is all about goal setting--I have asked people to think about a 1-week, 1-month, 1-year and 5-year goal. The premise is that we need to set attainable goals (week/month) but we also need long range goals that can help keep us engaged and fulfilled in our work.

When a person's has stated and share goals, it allows me to ask better questions and connect in a more meaningful way. It is really impactful and strengthens relationships.

I challenge you to make your goal for next week to do your three 1's and a 5!

Upcoming High School SAT Testing

On March 2, Dublin City Schools will administer the SAT School Day assessment to all current juniors. This state-funded assessment is required by the state. All freshmen and sophomores will operate on their normal schedule during this day. Juniors will follow their schedule after they complete the assessment.

Seniors will engage in a variety of opportunities outside the school setting during this day. Seniors will not be required to report to their home high school on March 2. Additional information for seniors can be found here.

NHS is holding a food drive for the Dublin Food Pantry from March 1-16! Food and hygiene items will be collected in 3rd period classes. The 3rd period class that collects the most items will win a donut party! Students who don't have a third period at Jerome can drop items off in the main office and enter their name into a drawing for a prize.

The most needed items are worth double and include individual toothbrushes, menstrual pads, diapers (larger sizes), baby wipes, laundry detergent, deodorant, shampoo, condensed soup, oatmeal packets, canned fruit, peanut butter, and pancake syrup.

Please consider donating to help the Dublin Food Pantry continue to serve our community.

The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive at Jerome on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m in the Aux gym. Sign-up and more information will be during lunch Tuesday the 14th to Thursday the 16th. Please note you must be 16+ to donate.

A small delegation of 8 Model UN students went to DC this weekend to compete at NAIMUN, the North American Invitational Model UN competition organized by the Georgetown International Relations Association, Inc. For some of them, it was their very first competition! They did great and brought home some awards again :

This allows for the yearbook to be mailed to your home directly from the publishing plant rather than coming to Jerome and having to schedule a pick up. Delivery is an option for any yearbook, but highly recommended for seniors.

With the new addition to Dublin Jerome High School, the commemorative brick patio is also getting some additions… your personalized Celtic Brick. The current brick patio was installed in 2014 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the DJHS as a gift from that year’s senior class. Who knew that less than 10 years later, we would need the current additions to accommodate the incredible growth in our schools? The original patio will be relocated to the front of the school near the new school addition in the summer of 2023. The relocation allows us to add additional bricks to complement the original memorial bricks.

This is your opportunity to purchase a beautiful, engraved brick paver to celebrate and memorialize students, alumni, school team, club, organization, or your favorite teacher in a meaningful and unique way that is forever set in stone.

DublinThon Code & Create Camp

Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are invited to participate in this fun, interactive STEM camp. 100% of proceeds will go to the Nationwide Children's Hospitals Pediatric Cancer Research and the Dublin Education Foundation. March 4th, 5-6:30 & 7-8:30. Learn more here.
