Fourth Graders Volunteer at the Dragon Cafe
Last Sunday, we began our community service work at St. George's Episcopal Church's Dragon Cafe, helping to serve breakfast to people in need. Katie Lawton, Charlotte Green, Matthew Fanelli, Sierra Pardue, and Elisabeth Levasseur each did a wonderful job serving a delicious breakfast and making sure each of the guests in attendance left with a full stomach and a smile. We all agreed that it was a gift for all of us to be able to serve, and we look forward to being able to do more for those less fortunate than ourselves. Fourth grade will continue to volunteer each Sunday morning to help set up and serve breakfast between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. during the month of May. We hope that each of the fourth graders will be available to volunteer at least one time on any of the remaining Sundays: May 8, May 15, or May 22.

For those of you who may be available this Sunday, May 8th, (Mothers' Day) we will provide flowers for the students to give to any moms and grandmothers.

Fourth Grade Challenge!
In addition to the work we are doing at school, our computer teacher, Mrs. Segura, has introduced the students to a computer game they can play to test their memory as well as help them to continue their learning. This states and capitals game, as well as many other educational sites have been saved on symbaloo, a free social bookmarking service in the cloud.
Mrs. Segura has provided all the students with the login information to access these sites. Please look for the login information in your child's take home folder this week.
NOTE : The Fourth Grade Challenge (test of the 50 states and capitals) will be given on Thursday, May 26th.
