Principal's Message
It's spooky season! Although the vibe has shifted to scary ghosts and creepy witches, I'm happy to report that many of our students are very much settled into the routine of the school day with September rapidly shrinking away in our rear view mirror. October is a busy month, we led with the Week of Respect, full of fun, engaging activities for students to learn about why respect is so important. We culminated that week with Lead U, an incredible assembly to help students understand the important of kindness and respect. I want to thank Ms. Crepeau for helping organize and CAPE for helping with funding. Such a great message! As we move into the second half of October, keep an eye out for Halloween parties, our Halloween parade, and other fun events! As the weather gets cooler, remember to bundle up, and as we enter flu season, remember to wash your hands, and stay home when sick. Happy October!

Research ⚗️
A key component to child development is the ability to self-regulate and bring oneself back to center. Strategies to do this are essential in building student resilience, persistence, and attention to their emotions. Some of these strategies are naturally built into the development of your child, but some need to be reinforced. Click the picture to learn more.

Teacher Highlight👨🏫👩🏫
Meet Ms. Knight 😀
Ms. Knight has been teaching 24 years, with 20 of them being in Wall, her hometown. Ms. Knight enjoys kick boxing, crossfit, and reading. Her favorite part of teaching first grade is all the little, sweet, things the students do, like a gift of a dandelion picked at recess, a cute drawing, silly jokes and all the smiles that greet her every morning. Her childhood superhero was Wonder Woman. She wants all her students to know that if you work really hard and you are kind, amazing things can happen.
