Braddock Eagles Love Books & Reading!

April was a fun month of learning in the library! Braddock Eagles celebrated National Library Month, National Poetry Month, Earth Day, and Arbor Day. The library ended the month with a Scholastic Spring BOGO Book Fair! BES is kicking off the month of May with our second annual KPMG's Family for Literacy on Thursday, May 5 throughout the Braddock campus.

Promoting and Improving Literacy in Our Community

A great day of literacy at Braddock Elementary is coming up on Thursday, May 5 and Braddock Eagles are in for a reading treat! Volunteers from our corporate sponsor, KPMG, will be visiting our school to read favorite books and make bookmarks with students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

In addition to the generous donation of their time, KPMG has also made a donation through First Book, to gift each and every Braddock ES students (PreK through Grade 5) with two books to add to their home libraries.

Guest readers from various departments from Fairfax County Public Schools will be visiting upper grade classrooms to read. Our guests will be visiting classrooms from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

In order to ensure a fun day of reading for students and staff at BES, please observe the following:
