What is Food Chain?
A food chain is a linear sequence of links in a foodweb starting from species that are called producers in the web and ends at species that are called decomposers in the web. A food chain also shows how the organisms are related with each other by the food they eat.
Food web
This food web says what producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers, tertiary consumers, and Quaternary consumers mean and what they eat.
Food Chain
This picture has all kinds of animals they relate back to a human. This is because everything on this picture we eat. What others may not know is before we eat them they eat each other. For example a snake eats a rat, Egals or hawks eat snake and so on.
Why is food chain important?
Learning about food chain is important because it gives you information about the ecosystem, Materials, and Nutrients.
It also explains how humans and the things we eat are linked.
