Property Tax Hearing

Senator Van Taylor will hold an open hearing about property taxes on Monday, 10/3, starting at 10 am at the Collin College Plano campus. The Senate Property Tax Reform and Relief Committee will listen to testimony for this interim charge: “Study the property tax process, including the appraisal system, and recommend ways to promote transparency, simplicity, and accountability by all taxing entities. Ballot by Mail

There are several reasons that entitle people to vote by mail.

  1. Expected absence from the County during both the early voting period and election day. The ballot must be mailed to an address outside the county.
  2. Disability
  3. 65 years of age or older
  4. Confinement in jail and not finally convicted of a felony

To apply for a Ballot by Mail, print the form on this link, complete it, and mail it to Collin County Early Voting Clerk, 2010 Redbud Blvd, Suite 102, McKinney, TX 75069. It must be received by 10/28. www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/pol-sub/5-15f.pdf
