Pine Class News Update
November 22nd, 2015
Important Pine Information for This Week!
Monday - mini field trips around Brooklyn! 10:30 - 1:00pm
If you're available to join a group let us know - we'd love to have families along.
Following the presentation of each student's "special place" in Brooklyn, small groups of students are setting off on mini trips to dive more deeply into some of the topics of interest - landmarks, community centers, home visits, natural spaces, and (of course) food!
Wednesday - 12pm Dismissal. No school Thursday or Friday.
Wednesday - LAST FARM STAND OF THE SEASON! 10:00am - 12:00pm
Fully stocked with lots of Thanksgiving worthy veggies. See the farmstand newsletter for the complete list. Also, is anyone available to take the leftover produce to the soup kitchen that day? If so drop Anna an email.
Thanks so much for the wonderful conferences. We feel lucky to have such thoughtful family partners and are so grateful to have the opportunity to work with your children each day. We're looking forward to the rest of the conferences this Monday and Tuesday.
SECOND GRADE TRIP TO LINCOLN CENTER
Wednesday, December 2nd
The second grade will have the incredible opportunity to see the New York Ballet perform the Nutcracker.
In order to attend the performance, we will need to arrive back at Compass at 2:00, which is later than our usual Wednesday schedule.
We will not have bus dismissal on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015. All students will need to be picked up at school at 2:00.
Please work to arrange a pick up plan from Compass at 2:00 on Wednesday, December 2nd.
Let us know if we can help in any way.
