Parent/Student Activities
2. Say you're sorry when you make a mistake. Modeling this behavior will set expectations for how your child should behave.
3. Set clear expectations with your students about chores, curfew, grades, etc. It's hard for you both to win if you are playing by different rules.
4. Think of an ongoing conflict you tend to have with your student(homework, cleaning rooms, feeding the pet) and then discuss a win-win solution to the conflict.
5. Think about your relationship with your student. Is it generally win-win? If not, how is that affecting your family life? What should YOU do differently?
