Every Student Counts, Every Moment Matters!
Message From Principal Webb
Hello families!
It was a fantastic week that ended with a great celebration of talent! The 2nd grade had a fantastic concert, Longfellow students had a visit from City High Girls Basketball team to cheer them on to the state tournament then ended the night with our Longfellow Talent Show! A huge congratulations to all of the wonderful performers and stagehands on a job well done! A BIG THANK YOU to all the parent and teacher volunteers (PTA, Seymour Stars) that made this night so memorable for our school community. Having the stage back was a bonus! I am blessed to be a part of it.
Thank you to all of the families that have attended parent-teacher conferences so far. The next date is March 4th.
Longfellow has many upcoming events. Please see below for the different dates and add them to your family calendar :) This week is Dr. Seuss Week. We invite your student to celebrate with us!
Sincerely,
Kelli Webb

Penny Wars-Coin Drive
1,2,3,4 Longfellow declares a Penny War! Put your change towards a good cause. All proceeds from the penny war fundraiser will go to support student field trips and Longfellow educational experiences- everyone is a winner!
Here’s how it works:
· Between February 22 and March 15, students may bring pennies and silver change to school
· Each penny counts as one positive point for YOUR child’s grade
· Each silver coin counts as negative points for OTHER grades. In other words, dropping a quarter in another classroom’s bucket takes 25 points from their total
· On March 15, a truce will be called. Points will be tallied and the classroom with the most points will win a pizza party!
Start saving your change—it can make a big difference!
