Important Points for Parents
Big Ol' Bookbags!!!
With no lockers this year, our teachers spent the week helping students minimize the amount of things they are carrying in their bookbags. Some textbooks are able to be left at home, and we will be accessing the electronic version. Teachers have tried to use dividers and combined subjects into 1 or 2 notebooks to help with space. Parents, we need your help with this as well. Sometimes, students forget to take things out of their bookbag. Help them by going through what they need and don't need. Their teachers have already done this here at school, so it may be as simple as asking if they removed the extra notebooks and textbooks. We do not want them carrying a heavy bookbag around from class to class. So you are aware, the distance from class to class is very small, and the students are not carrying their bookbags to their related arts classes. Please let me know if your child is still struggling with the weight of their bookbag after all of our efforts. We are committed to helping all of our students.
Home Learning Assignments for our Face-to-Face Students
Parents and students, please make sure you are completing your home learning assignments. Failure to complete a home learning assignment can not only have a negative impact on the grade, but could also cause the student to be marked absent during their "home learning" day.
