Mrs. Close's Class ~ We had so much fun testing bridges! Nora and Sarah broke our all time record.......their bridge held 134 pounds before breaking! Kids will be bringing home pictures next week. We'll finish 4th grade math during the upcoming week. On Monday we'll correct the Module 7 review. Students should plan to take the test on Tuesday.

LOTS of Field Trips!

Monday, June 18th will be our Onanda Park trip. This trip is all about fun! The kids will be free to play and swim. Kids will need to come prepared with a lunch, please remember that we won't have a way to keep the lunches cold. Bathing suits and a towel are highly recommended! Recess rules apply while we are at the park. So, kids will have to use a tennis ball instead of a lax ball. Let me know if you have any questions.

On the afternoon of June 19th, we'll be walking to Granger Homestead. During our time there we'll have the opportunity to tour the mansion and the barns. The cost is $3 per student. Parents are more than welcome to meet us there or walk with us. Let me know if you would like to join us. Please contact me if you need financial assistance. Permission slips will be in Friday Folders which will come home on Monday.

The final trip will be Wednesday, June 20th. That morning our class and Ms. Gleason's class will be walking to Byrne Dairy on the corner of West Ave. and Pearl St. The teachers will be treating the kids to an ice cream cone and then we'll walk back in time for art before they are dismissed at 11:45. Permission slips will be in Friday Folders.

Kids who play a string instrument will need to be prepared with instruments in school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Monday, both the cherry and gray orchestras will rehearse together. The students who play band instruments will need to bring them on Tuesday for lessons and Wednesday for the concerts. Chorus will rehearse on Tuesday.

Yellow T-Shirts

It would be great if the kids could plan to wear their yellow t-shirts to school on Friday, June 15th and for the Granger field trip on June 19th.
