MAY 3, 2021

Dear Parents, Students and Staff;

Starting on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, we will be moving to four days a week for our in-person learning. Those students who have chosen to do CDL only, will continue on-line.

Our fourth, fifth and sixth grade schedules and times will not change. Their only change will be attending four days instead of two. Those CDL students will continue on-line.

In order to move to four days a week, we have had to adjust roughly fifteen seventh graders’ schedules, and a handful of eighth graders' schedules for in-person learning. These changes are necessary due to class sizes. These changes will be communicated directly with those parents and students.

We will not be having on-line CDL classes on Monday, May 10, 2021. Teachers will use this day to re-organize their classrooms. We had to remove desks, chairs and tables when the six foot guidance was implemented for hybrid. We will now be adhering to the three foot guidance within our classrooms. The six foot guidance will still be in effect when transitioning to and from classes. All other safety precautions will remain in place as well. Face coverings will continue to be required as well as all other safety precautions as stated in our operational blueprint.

MIDCO (bus company) will be communicating with current bus riders on their new pick-up and drop-off times.

Starting on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, we will continue to follow the same time schedule for the remainder of the year for our in-person learning.

We are assuming that all students who are currently attending in-person instruction will continue in the four day model. We will continue to communicate with all stakeholders throughout the week to ensure that we have as smooth a transition as possible.

Mr. Proctor
