An important announcement!
"If we could talk to the animals" ...
now we can with SpeakaZoo! (Primary k-2)
The app is free, and features several animals with big personalities. Students pretend to be the zoo keeper, and meet each animal one at a time. The animals begin a conversation, and the student's voice is recorded as he/she responds. There is a tiger cub learning to roar, a nervous dolphin, a self-conscious elephant and more. The app uses voice recognition so the animal gives a relevant response to what the child says. It works better sometimes than others, but it's pretty cool when it gets it right.

Fifth Grade Option - Intervention/Enrichment/Extension
What: Primary Sources - What are they? Why do they matter? How can I use them? Where can I find them?
When: 12:10 - 12:40 August 22 - August 28
Where: Tech Lab and/or Learning Commons
Who: Up to five interested students from each class, your choice based on your intervention plans
Students can return to your class as resident experts on Primary Sources and share what they know OR I can repeat the course several times over the year. Let me know ASAP if interested, but no later than August 21.
