Curriculum Conversations
What are the different types of digital media?
Who are some historical people you studied this week?
How can you write 4 digit numbers in different ways?
Are you working on any projects in class?
Star Student
Monday: Send in 10-12 pictures for the students to share with the class.
Friday: Students will read a book aloud to the class and they may bring an item for Show and Tell.
Put Your Heart into Reading!
The students are excited about our 15th Annual Put Your Heart Into Reading event! There are TWO BIG parts to help with:
1. Help your child choose 2 books that they can read in under 15 minutes.
2. Help them design and decorate a Valentine's Box that represents an element in one of their books. For example, if your child chose to read a book about baseball, then they might make a box that looks like a giant baseball. :)
*Please see the letter that came home in this week's Friday Folder for specific details.
*Check out Pinterest and http://www.simplykinder.com/valentines-box-family-project/ for ideas!
Jump Rope for Heart!
Valentine Gram!
Junk Day
- Everything must fit in their backpack.
- NO electronics!
- They must have your permission to sell the items.
The students will price their items and set up their store the morning of the 3rd. We are looking forward to a Junktastic Day!
LEAD 2021
3. Skilled Problem Solvers
- Respect Diversity
- Value Group Members
- Build Relationships
- Are able to disagree respectfully
- See problems or issues from multiple perspectives
- Work toward a common goal
- Communicate ideas clearly to a team
- Listen and ask each other questions to seek understanding
Students who are collaborative workers will welcome opportunities to collaborate beyond the classroom walls to contribute on a local and global level. Collaborative workers recognize the need for interdependence in a group.
A teacher who creates collaborative workers will seek out and intentionally design authentic collaborative opportunities, celebrate attempts as much as success, provide meaningful feedback, promote individual accountability, and focus on the learning goals.
A parent of collaborative workers will model respectful collaboration, both at home and in a partnership with the school.
