Webster Word
October 2018
From The Principal's Desk
October is here and Fall is in the air! The warm days and chilly nights
are a welcome change from the constant heat of summer. October is a
very busy month at school as we have several different things going on
at Webster Elementary. I would like to take a moment to thank all
parents for sending your students to school each day. Your children are
a blessing and we are very thankful for getting to work with them each
day.

Your child's teacher will be sending a sign-up sheet for parent/teacher
conferences soon. Please pick a time that works best with your
schedule to come discuss your child's progress. I will also be available
if you wish to discuss any concerns, share celebrations, or ask
questions.
We will kick off our Fall Party with a costume parade at the football
field at 1:15 in the afternoon. Students from Hubble and Webster will
be parading in costumes at that time. Please remember that we have a
regular school day up until party time; therefore, parents will be
allowed to come in at 1:15 to set up for the party. Classroom parties
will begin at the conclusion of the parade around 2:15. Students need
to bring costumes to school on party day; they are NOT allowed to wear
costumes to school that day.

Webster Health Fair coming in October
Webster will have a health fair on October 11. We will be doing head checks, dental checks and vision and screenings on all second and third grade students. Additionally, all third grade students will also have a hearing screening as well. If your child fails a screening I will be notifying you with a letter within 1-2 weeks of the health fair. If your child comes home and tells you they failed a screening I just ask that you, please don’t call the next day asking because it takes me a few days to get all 400 screenings sorted out and put in order. I promise I will notify you as soon as possible. I do get the letters out to the students who failed a screening first.
