Warrior News
A Weekly Newsletter for Warrior Families and Students
February 14, 2020
Dear Warrior Nation,
We often think of Valentine's Day as a day to express your love. What greater example is there than the power of the love we feel for our children. With this unconditional love comes an immense desire to protect and support them in any way we can. One of the best ways we can protect our children is to be intentional in our actions to keep open lines of communication. Teenagers often don’t show it and won’t say it, but they still need the feeling of security found in genuine conversations with parents.
Broaching topics like relationships, drinking alcohol, using vaping devices or other risky behaviors can be difficult but it is so important to circle around these topics frequently during this phase of life. This article from Yale Medicine has some great tips to help with conversations with your teens about vaping. Though they may push against you, high school is a time when they need our reminders most. If we can help in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. It takes a village to raise a child and Muskego is a great place because we work together.
Don’t forget to check the website for all of the exciting happenings next week. Tickets are still available for certain shows of Beauty and the Beast. Get here to watch a show and be ready to be amazed by our students!
