INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW

DEADLINE - DESIGNATE A TEST - OCTOBER 9, 2015

STATE CCRA GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

With the repeal of the High School Graduation Qualifying Exam (HSGQE) comes the new College and Career Readiness Assessment (CCRA) graduation requirement. In order to receive a state of Alaska high school diploma, all students must now take and receive a valid score on either the ACT, SAT, or WorkKeys Assessment.

During the 2015-16 school year, all ASD 11th and 12th grade students who have not completed the CCRA requirement will have an opportunity to take the WorkKeys and ACT exams at no cost to the student. The SAT will not be offered by ASD as a school day test this year.

Parents must designate which test they would like their student(s) to take by noon on OCTOBER 9th. Forms (signatures required) are available at the office AND can be downloaded off of our website: Forms & Publications page under ASD Assessments: CCRA Parent Designation Form.
