This disease is caused by a bacteria called yersinia pestis. And can be spread many ways. It is also highly contagious.
How is it transmitted?
The Bubonic plague is spread by flea bites, animals throughout the world, and contact with contaminated fluid or tissue.
Symptoms
people develop fever, headache,chills,and weakness, and one or more swollen lymph nodes.
How is it treated?
The bubonic plague does have a cure and there are available antibiotics.
ways to prevent getting the plague:
- Eliminate nesting places for rodents around your home.
- Avoid picking up dead animals.
- Don't let animals sleep with you.
- Use insect repellent so you don't get flea bites.
