The quokka

A quokka is an Australian marsupial mammal.

The scientific name for a quokka is Setonix brachyurus.

The Quokka looks like a very small kangaroo that has small arms to pick up food and small round ears.

They have thick brown fur to help them blend in to the surroundings bushes. A quokka also has a short smooth tail. They have strong back legs for hopping. The food that a quokka eats is leaves, shrubs and succulent plants.

The quokka is a highly endangered because of foxes. The government needs to do something about it.
