BLUE RIBBON LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL AWARD
How Did We Earn the Award?
To achieve this prestigious award, Spearman had to go through a rigorous assessment process. We were visited by a Blue Ribbon Assessment Team which visited every classroom in the school. They interviewed teachers, parents and our students council. They also analyzed the results of the online assessment taken by all school stakeholders. The Blue Ribbon Team thoroughly reviewed the past several years of data and test scores as well.
Spearman had to achieve an excellent rating in all nine critical performance standards below:

After all of the above steps of the assessment process were completed, the results were then reviewed by a Blue Ribbon Schools Committee. Spearman was found to be excellent in all Nine Major Categories of Critical Performance in Excellent Schools and was awarded the status of a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School.
