The Bulldog Growl
The latest happenings from LIW Rm 105
We celebrated Laura Ingalls Wilder's birthday (Feb. 7th) this week with a special activity. Ladies from the LIW Society visited on Wednesday and taught us about the animals that were around when the Ingalls family lived in DeSmet. The students were able to explore the pelts and then used plaster to make a mold of an animal print that they were able to take home with them. This was such a fun activity!
Way to go Kendra, Gabriella, and Isabelle! They did a great job and were very fun to watch!
A huge thank you to Laurie Johnson & Traci Schoenfelder for all of their hard work planning the Valentine's Party. The kids had a great time playing Minute-to-Win-It games as well as passing out their Valentine cards. Several of the students worked hard on a box. They were very creative with their designs. Check out their boxes, below!
Donors Choose Project
LIW Donors Choose project to help get document clips for the monitors in our computer lab. Document clips attach to the monitors and hold papers for the students while they type. This project will actually benefit all of our Elementary students. If you are interested in helping fund this project, or know someone who is, you can check out the link below to learn more about Donors Choose. Thanks!
