BUSY BUSY WEEK AHEAD....but there is light at the end of the tunnel!

This is the big week for our third, fourth, and fifth graders. They have worked hard this year and we are sending our positive energy to our students AND teachers.

Things to know:

Reading EOG is Wed.,May 25 8-12

Math EOG is Thurs., May 26 8-12

R2A test is, Tues May 31st 8-11

Science EOG is Wed,. June 1 8-12

Remediation and Retests for students scoring a Level 2 and by parents choice is June 13-17 8-12

We encourage students to eat a healthy breakfast on testing mornings (and every morning). WE will need every available body to help with supervision. Wed begins the LAST 10 DAYS SO ALL STAFF SHOULD BE ON DUTY! If any K-2 classes want to help decorate a cafe table with good luck wishes - that would be appreciated!!!

Academics are our priority at this time of you. Grades who are testing still have class in the afternoon. Please be mindful of recess and follow the schedule. K-2 - please make sure you notify the office if you are not on schedule so we know where to find you when parents stop by.

There is an adjusted specialist AND lunch schedule (below) for testing days. It is pretty tight so make sure you are tracking times.

3/4/5th grade teachers: Be sure to have your students' Testing Score Notice sheets ready to go with kids' information so you can plug in this year's data. When they are complete (w/ new scores) make copies!!!

Memorial Day

We have no school next Monday, May 30 in honor of Memorial Day. This year, due to the very tight schedule within the last ten days, and that we are COMPLETELY CLOSED for Memorial Day we are not hosting IBJ Remembers. In anticipation that we will all be ready to leave Friday afternoon - I'd like to wish each of you a wonderful, reflective day with your families. I'm sure the countdown to next week is underway but let's get through this hurdle week together! Here is a little bit of patriotic music leading up to our holiday. I am very thrilled to share that my nephew is recently home from his third deployment in Afghanistan (after two more in Iraq). It is nice to know he is state-side! Happy Memorial Day (a week early).-
