The JLC Class Visits the Library
(New Brunswick Public Library)
A Very Special Thank You!
Thank you to the New Brunswick Library for holding this event sponsored by NIEER and the MASST program! The children were very engaged and happy to participate in the two activities led by Miss Lindy and Miss Hebbah! Thank you so much for the session: Do Bears Wear Coats: Animals and Seasons Activities. We are also very appreciative of the two books you have donated to our classroom library-- Animals Should Definitely NOT Wear Clothes and Los Animales en otono/Animals in Fall!
The Wheels on the Bus
The JLC Class demonstrated excitement as they arrived onto the bus! We discussed bus safety and seat belts upon sitting in our seats! Some friends were very excited to drive near their homes!
Grey Squirrel, Grey Squirrel
The children discussed how squirrels collect their food during the summer and fall and hide it underground to store for winter. The children also participated in a grey squirrel song:
Grey squirrel, grey squirrel swish your bushy tail!
Grey squirrel, grey squirrel swish your bushy tail!
You search for acorns all around, then you hide the ones you've found.
When the snow is on the ground, you are eating acorns by the pound!
Grey squirrel, grey squirrel swish your bushy tail!
Grey squirrel, grey squirrel swish your bushy tail!
The coat you grow so thick and warm, protects you in a winter storm!
We think that you are really smart--We have to buy ours at Walmart!
