President's Note
Happy New Year! Hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family. Several things are on the agenda for Junior Auxiliary for the months to come. Hope you will make plans to participate in the upcoming projects.
Online Self-Evaluation of Junior Auxiliary of Humboldt
It is that time of year for your assistance and input of how to make the projects more effective and relative to the children of Humboldt and the members of Junior Auxiliary of Humboldt. Every member is asked to complete the survey. The deadline for completion of the survey is Friday, January 22nd. We will discuss the results at the February Executive Meeting at 5:45 p.m. Any member that would like to be a part of the discussion is welcome to attend.

AEC
Mark your calendar to attend AEC in Memphis at the Hilton. The dates are April 29-30. Hope you will make plans to attend.
Provisional Training
The next provisional training will be Thursday, January 7th at 6:00 p.m. at Tammy's house.
Treasurer/Project Balances
Cathy will have the remaining balances for all projects soon. These will be emailed to all project chairs. Please meet with your committee and report back in February of how remaining funds will be spent if the project has already been completed. All funds must be spent by April.
Finance
Thank you for your hard work in selling all of the pans. An estimated profit is currently around $600. A special thanks to Renee Heglar for her hard work with the fundraiser especially during Christmas.
Projects
Please keep up with your hours. Turn in project sheets to Sherry Grimes.
Scholarship
The deadline to apply for NAJA Scholarship is February 1st. More information on www.najanet.org If you are interested in attending graduate school check it out!
Hours Requirements
Don't forget that April is the deadline to have all hours completed. Each member is required to have
- 24 Service Hours
- 12 Education Hours
If you are lacking hours, plan ahead so that you can get them in by April.
Coat Closet
A special thanks to the provisional class for working hard to collect coats for the coat closets at each of the schools in Humboldt. If you would like to donate coats for the closet or assist with the closet please contact Tammy or Emily. *Great way to get hours*
JA Kid/Family
We were able to assist our JA Family for Christmas by providing school uniforms and several toys for each of the three children. They were very appreciative!
JA Reading Adventures
We will try to have a Valentine activity in February at the Boys and Girls Club. More information will be released soon.

- avoid candy and peanut butter
Viking Pen Pals
Letters were given out at the January meeting to members. Please get with Katie Kulow if you write to a student. Get the letters back to her asap. You can also email them to her klkvball@hotmail.com
Education Hour
There was an education hour after the meeting at Monday night's meeting. The topic was Cyber safety. It was presented by Emily Burleson. The information discussed was how to keep your family and children safe online and on mobile devices.
Brag Bag News
Congrats to Brett and Hillary Adams. They are pregnant and due May 28th.
