by Grace Rodgers
Choir students performed the musical Hairspray Jr. under the direction of Mrs.Trawick. The play starred Tracy, played by Brileigh Wyckoff, Link, played by Grant Roberts, and Seaweed, played by Qudarius Clayton. Overall the cast did a fantastic job. There were some really good parts that made everyone laugh and really get into the play. Favorites were when Kirsten Watson sang, the humor produced by the story line, and the history of segregation during the 1960’s in Baltimore. The most memorable part that everyone appears to love was when Link kissed Tracy! In the end Mrs.Trawick and her cast did a fantastic job on putting on Hairspray Jr. We give the production ★★★.
Art of the Week
Career Art students are learning about the Dutch artist, M.C. Escher and his many works. Last week they created original tessellations, and this week students made optical illusions.
Pictured is an optical illusion by 8th grader Mhairi Hannah.
