Emancipation Proclamation
Abraham Lincoln has just announced his passage of the Emancipation Proclamation. It's time for Blacks to be freed from slavery. It is only right that we free these people from slavery. People in the south don't care about anybody but themselves. This war is bigger than what people think. It has a big moral picture, just as what President Lincoln says. However, the Emancipation Proclamation will only free slaves living in states not under Union control. We know that Lincoln is fully aware of the irony, but he does not want to antagonize the slave states loyal to the Union by setting their slaves free. The Union must get this victory against the South so these slaves can be free. It's only right.
Black Soldiers in the War?
The Fight for Equal Rights
Blacks are joining the Civil War. It's been said that those who volunteer for battle will be fighting for an important moral cause. If we succeed against the South, Blacks will finally be free from slavery. Of course this is not what the South wants but it is morally right. 10% of the Union's army is made up of black men. Once the Union get this victory, and I know they will, these men will be free and everyone shall have equal rights. The way things should be anyway.
