Calling All Eagles...Let's Get Those Last Eagle Trek Donations Flying In to Evansdale!
Evansdale's largest fundraiser - Eagle Trek - is just one week away! The money raised from Eagle Trek is very important for the Evansdale community. Our goal is to raise at least $55,000 this year. Every dollar counts, so please spend some time during fall break doing your part to help Evansdale reach its goal. All Eagle Trek donations are tax-deductible. Donations should be turned in by the 12th (Walk-a-Thon Day).
October 12th is Walk-a-Thon Day. All students and staff should wear their Eagle Trek t-shirts to school that day, along with shorts and tennis shoes.
Questions? Want to Volunteer? Please contact one of the event chairs: Julie Grier (PTA) at juliegrier@bellsouth.net or Jim Bitsko (Foundation) at jbitsko@Hotmail.com

STEMtastic Happenings at Evansdale
*Ms. Shunnarah/Roth's first grade class 3D printed a weather tool - an anemometer/weather vane (see pictures below). They were able to take it out on a windy day and measure how fast the wind was going. Way to go First grade STEM stars!
* 4th grade students are working on their first semester honey bee STEM Unit. They are studying the problem of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD).
* Kindergarten is set to start their STEM unit on living and non-living things after fall break. They will visit Yule Forest Farm to observe animals and see how pumpkins grow.
